Work Samples

A small selection of my professional and personal projects.

Square10

For Square10, I took on the roles of Visual Designer, UX Designer, and Developer. We started with the logo and brand voice and ended with a fully functional WordPress website built using the Divi framework. I started by developing documentation to align with stakeholders, establishing a clear vision for the brand and its digital presence. This process involved wireframing, prototyping, and creating final design assets.

I carried the project through to completion by testing functionality and usability with proofs of concept, ensuring every detail aligned with the project’s goals. Finally, I integrated all assets into a polished, responsive website that captured the essence of Square10’s brand while delivering a seamless user experience.

Hack Web

The original Hack game gave kids a unique way to learn coding by "hacking" their own desktop environment in a safe, fun setting. For Hack Web, we extended this engaging experience into a browser-based platform, making it accessible to kids who didn’t use the Endless Operating System.

As a Senior Designer, I worked on both the Endless OS and Hack Web platforms, focusing primarily on Hack Web’s user experience. I created concepts and prototypes to guide the development team, ensuring the web version retained the educational value and interactivity of the original desktop game.

NAVICA

NAVICA was designed as a COVID-19 response tool, helping individuals safely return to work and school. The system included software applications to monitor and report results from BinaxNOW over-the-counter COVID-19 tests, streamlining public health data.

As part of the design team, I focused on the IOS and Android-hosted Consumer Mobile Software applications, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to improve functionality. I played a key role in transitioning the project from Sketch to Figma, rebuilding a section of the design system library for greater efficiency. My contributions included personas, diagrams, prototypes, and features like navigation rework, accessibility updates, and localization for Brazil.

Everglades

Everglades EcoQuest is a web-based educational platform developed as part of the Everglades Literacy Program to teach kids about environmental conservation. I led the design of menu systems, content templates, and a side-scrolling mini-game embedded within the platform.

For the mini-game, I worked closely with developers to create a lightweight, component-based design system. I mapped graphics to interactions using prototypes and user tests, ensuring the gameplay was both functional and engaging. The final product featured three levels of side-scrolling adventure, inspired by the ecosystems covered in the program’s curriculum.

Studio Art

When I’m in the studio, I take on the roles of Illustrator and Journalist—sometimes both—working digitally and traditionally across various formats. I enjoy the freedom of experimenting with different materials and techniques. My favorite projects allow me to express my love for storytelling through visual art. Below are some examples of my work.

GenAi

I also create illustrations with AI, exploring its potential as both a designer and illustrator. To me, AI tools are an extension of the creative process, offering new ways to augment ideas rather than replacing them. It’s been fascinating to see how embracing this medium can transform creative workflows.

In one project, I experimented with how language influences AI-generated content by using excerpts from *The Art of Worldly Wisdom*. I found the results to be captivating, underscoring the role of language in shaping artistic outputs. Below are some highlights from this exploration.
